Lindsey Neidlinger is a self-taught graphic and fine artist born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. In her latest body of work, she combines bold and confident lines with dreamy hues and familiar non-rural textures. Her subject matter stems from her acknowledgement of the unnatural contrast between flowing natural forms and stark urban development, and aims to draw attention to the unsustainable relationship between the two.
"My work is largely inspired by the tangled relationship between all things urban and organic. The form of a flower emerging through a cracked sidewalk; a wild heart succumbing to a 9 to 5 pace; the flow of water slipping through points in a rusted vat... The conflict in these interactions is utterly relentless.”
